Mark is a co-founder of Synack, a cybersecurity company. He has over nine years of experience in cybersecurity, having worked in academia and defense industries. His most recent role was at the National Security Agency (NSA), where he worked in various capacities such as Technical Director, Computer Network Operations Operator, Network Analyst, and Computer Scientist. Mark received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Auburn University under a DoD/NSA-sponsored fellowship. He has published several papers on enterprise cybersecurity and has performed research under DoD contracts related to information security, network analysis, and jam-resistant network communication protocols. Mark also holds a number of security-related certifications from CNSS and ISC(2). Overall, Mark has strong technical expertise in cybersecurity and a wealth of experience working in diverse roles in different sectors.
