Nancy Morgan

Nancy Morgan is the CEO of Ellis Morgan Enterprises LLC and the former US Government Intelligence Community Chief Data Officer (IC CDO). She has over 12 years of executive level experience in National Security leading strategy, innovation and driving transformation in the data and information technology arenas. She retired from US Federal service in April 2022. While in Government she successfully led numerous data and information technology initiatives for over 30 years including solutions across all phases of the data and project lifecycles while serving as a program AI Industry Executives and Executive Leader at the Central Intelligence Agency. She has extensive experience leading major corporate transformation efforts and proven experience standing up new organizations across portfolios for data management, data literacy/data acumen, digital transformation, software development, and cloud technology adoption/migration in the national security and intelligence arenas. She has a proven track record fostering mutually beneficial partnerships both internally and externally. She is a champion for women in STEM/STEAM fields and developing the next generation workforce. In her last tour with the Federal Government, she was on a joint duty assignment to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence where she served as the Intelligence Community Chief Data Officer (IC CDO) and was dual hatted as the Assistant Director of National Intelligence for Domestic Engagement, Information Sharing and Data. She led the IC's strategic initiative to re-imagine the future of the IC's data and information landscape in the digital era, and to improve sharing and safeguarding of IC information. She championed programs to achieve the IC vision of Treating Data as an IC Asset, chaired the IC CDO Council, and spearheaded the IC's Data Acumen Strategy. She now serves as a Strategic Advisor on SambaNova Systems' Artificial Intelligence Innovation Advisory Council and is an active member of Women Leaders in Data and AI (WLDA). She has a Master of Science in Information Systems from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and French from Colgate University. She is based in the Washington, DC area
