Raul Glavan, CAIA
Raul Glavan was one of the first worldwide developers of many award-winning trading systems based on sentiment/behavioural analysis, which was used already very successfully with social media data, flows, positioning structure, insider statistics, survey indicators and a variety of other behavioural-related market data. At a very young age, Raul founded his first banking consulting firm in Germany with a focus on digitization in brokerage and trading. He completed his master's degree in finance and worked as a research assistant in finance alongside his master's degree and running his own company. As a consultant, he mainly advised various absolute return fund start-ups and also worked on diverse process optimization projects for some of the largest banks and brokerage firms in Europe. Overall, he has work experience with multiple banks, some absolute return funds, hedge funds, fund start-ups, a pension fund and a reinsurance company. He is also a member of CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst) Chapter Germany and a CAIA charterholder and is also a member of the IFTA (International Federation of Technical Analysts). Besides his interest in trading, investing and AI, Raul is an evangelist of the universal basic income. Because of the high implications of AI for our society he also entered politics (Free Democratic Party - Germany).
