Executive Editor in our Computer Science team, managing our Theoretical Computer Science book program. Supervising 5 colleagues (London, New York, Tokyo), output ca. 110 books per year. Subject areas of responsibility include artificial intelligence / machine learning, information security, cryptography, foundations of programming, theoretical computer science, data science, computer vision, pattern recognition, modeling and simulation, and high-performance computing. Book types include textbooks, monographs, and reference works.Joined Springer in 2000, first supervised our Physics, Computer Science, and Engineering copyediting freelancers, in 2002 moved to our Computer Science Editorial team.Electronics engineer by training, worked 1989-1995 in Dublin for a control and communications company, developing embedded hardware systems and software products. Also managed the design department's ISO 9001 quality and UL product engineering projects. Partner in a campus startup 1995-1999, managed our feasibility study and patenting funding for a machine vision technology: business assessment, prototype/concept development, tradeshow demonstrations.
