Tanja Schindler has been a passionate and internationally recognized futurist for over seven years with experience in foresight, innovation, leadership and strategy. She holds a dual Master's degree MBA/Master of Strategic Foresight with distinction from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne, Australia. In addition to the Master's, she also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Engineering. Through her international use of foresight, she sees the world from different perspectives and enables others to deal with the future and its uncertainty. Her focus is to highlight the benefits of the futures mindset and she supports companies, startups and freelancers to understand futures thinking as a holistic, sustainable and purposeful organizational and life direction. Previously, she worked for large German companies in the industrial and lighting sector. Today, she supports organizations to successfully lead their business fields into the future and contributes to foresight projects at UNESCO, the EU Commission and WFP. Finally, she is the founder and Guardian of the global community Futures Space. There, with over 1000 members from 50 countries, she explores the future and creates futures maps with futurists, thought leaders, and companies from around the world to identify future challenges and actively and collaboratively shape the future. She is also a board member of the Association of Professional Futurists as of January 2021.
