David Koes, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His research focuses on developing novel computational methods and applications for drug discovery, using machine learning and discrete algorithms to accelerate the drug discovery workflow. He also teaches graduate-level courses on bioinformatics programming in Python and scalable machine learning for big data biology. Additionally, he deploys his computational techniques via easy-to-use online applications and applies them in prospective drug discovery exercises.
