Arul M. Chinnaiyan, M.D., Ph.D., is a distinguished Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigator and American Cancer Society Research Professor, holding the S.P. Hicks Endowed Professorship of Pathology and Urology at the University of Michigan. He serves as the inaugural Director of the Michigan Center for Translational Pathology (MCTP), leading a team of experts focused on translating "-Omic" technologies into practical applications such as biomarkers and novel therapeutics. With a prolific publication record, he has authored over 350 manuscripts and is an esteemed elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (AAAS), the Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the National Academy of Sciences, the Association of American Physicians (AAP), and the American Society for Clinical Investigation (ASCI), while also serving on the Board of Scientific Advisors for the National Cancer Institute.
