Founding Director of Tissue Image Analytics (TIA) Centre at the University of Warwick department of Computer Science and the Computing lead for the PathLAKE Centre of Excellence in AI for pathology, he is spearheading research on innovative algorithms for analyzing digitized images of cancerous tissue slides. His work spans from individual cell profiling to patient group profiling, with applications in computer-assisted diagnosis, cancer grading, and image-based markers for predicting disease outcomes and survival. The ultimate aim is to advance Computational Pathology (CPath) technologies for improved patient stratification and Precision Medicine.
