Dr. Alan M. Jacobson holds an extensive background in medical and psychiatric fields, having received his M.D. from the University of Chicago Medical School and serving as a Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He has directed behavioral research and clinical mental health programs at the Joslin Diabetes Center, where he also served as Chief Medical Officer. His research has predominantly focused on understanding the psychological, social, and central nervous system implications of diabetes, utilizing neuro-imaging techniques to investigate brain effects and cognitive decline associated with diabetes.
