Maged Goubran is a Scientist in the Hurvitz Brain Sciences research program and Physical Sciences platform at Sunnybrook Research Institute. He holds an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto and is a distinguished Canada Research Chair in AI and Computational Neuroscience (Tier II). With a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Robarts Research Institute at Western University and subsequent postdoctoral training at Stanford University, Maged Goubran bridges translational and basic science. His research focus involves pioneering AI and computational tools to explore and predict circuit alterations in neurological disorders, encompassing Alzheimer's disease, stroke, and traumatic brain injury.
