Sébastien Benzekry is a head of the Inria-Inserm team COMPO (COMPutational pharmacology and clinical Oncology). With over 10 years of experience in oncology modeling, he has led and contributed to multi-disciplinary projects at the intersection of cancer biology, mathematical modeling, and clinical applications. His current focus revolves around the integration of statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and mechanistic modeling in a novel approach called 'mechanistic learning,' with specific interests in predicting metastatic relapse for early-stage breast cancer, individual response patterns to immune checkpoint inhibitors in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and simulation tools for optimizing combinatorial clinical trials.
