Chas Bountra, PhD, is the Pro-Vice Chancellor for Innovation and Professor of Translational Medicine at the University of Oxford. He is the Director of the Centre for Medicines Discovery and has an extensive background in drug discovery and development, including his role as Vice President and Head of Biology at GlaxoSmithKline. Throughout his career, he has made significant contributions to the identification of potential drug candidates for various diseases and has been actively involved in advancing research tools and technologies to accelerate drug discovery efforts. He is dedicated to training future leaders and entrepreneurs in the field of medicine and is engaged in collaborative efforts with industry partners and other stakeholders to advance new therapies for various medical conditions.
