Dr. Karin Jooss, Ph.D., is the Executive Vice President of Research and Chief Scientific Officer at Gritstone bio, a clinical-stage biotech specializing in cancer immunotherapies. Prior to this role, she led cancer immuno-therapeutics at Pfizer, Inc., and held leadership positions at Cell Genesys, Inc. Her expertise spans molecular biology, immunology, and gene therapy. Dr. Jooss is an editorial board member for Molecular Therapy and the Journal of Gene Medicine. She contributes to the American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy and the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Marburg in Germany and pursued postgraduate work in gene therapy and immunology at the University of Pennsylvania.
