Prof. Lior Gepstein serves as the Director of the Cardiology Department at Rambam Health Care Campus. His research endeavors encompass a wide spectrum, including basic and clinical cardiac electrophysiology, stem cell biology, inherited cardiac disorders, and the establishment of innovative gene and cell-based approaches for treating various cardiac conditions. Notably, Prof. Gepstein's research group played a pioneering role in devising distinctive strategies for differentiating cardiomyocytes from human embryonic stem cells and human induced pluripotent stem cells.
