Dr. Asma Deeb is a Consultant and Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology at Shaikh Shakhbout Medical City, Abu Dhabi. Her work and dedication to children with diabetes is endless. She is one of the Founders and the President of the Arab Society for Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (ASPED). In this role she established the main strategies for ASPED in the UAE and throughout the region, and she continues to educate and mentor others interested in the profession. Her work has enabled ASPED to become part of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) and host the international meeting in Abu Dhabi in 2020.
