Rege Nephro is a biotech venture associated with Kyoto University that focuses on the development, production, and sale of drugs for renal diseases. They have successfully produced nephron progenitor cells using technology developed by Professor Kenji Osafune and are currently investigating and developing regenerative medicine products for kidney diseases using these cells. Additionally, they are producing kidney organoids for drug discovery in applied research. They are also developing an allogenic cell therapy for chronic kidney disease using human iPS cell-derived nephron progenitor cells.
