Tampons are made with organic cotton free from chlorine bleaching, pesticides, fragrances, dyes and with a BPA-free plastic applicator. Pads and liners are made with a cotton top layer free from chlorine, pesticides and fragrances. Besides, L. has a holistic approach to provide monetary grants to non-profit organizations that share their model of giving. The ultimate goal is to help ensure that communities in need maintain access to clean and sustainable period care products for years to come.

Also L. is a Certified B Corporation which means it balances purpose and profit, i.e. legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. This certification means that a business is driven as a force for good: sources certified organic ingredients, BPA-free plastic, and recycled paper to take the right steps in reducing waste.

L. was acquired by P&G in 2019 where it retained its status as a Public Benefit Corp. L. continues to be dedicated to its solidarity model and is scaling to reach billions of people around the world.
