G2 Company

G2 phase is the third subphase of interphase in the cell cycle directly preceding mitosis. It comes after the DNA synthesis S phase and before the mitosis M phase. During G2 phase, the cell grows more, makes proteins and organelles, and begins to reorganize its contents in preparation for mitosis. The cell replenishes its energy stores and synthesizes proteins necessary for chromosome manipulation. G2 phase ends with the onset of prophase, the first phase of mitosis in which the cell’s chromatin condenses into chromosomes.
