SensArs Company
SensArs is a startup founded by Francesco Petrini, Stanisa Raspopovic, and Silvestro Micera with a mission to re-enable upper and lower-limb amputees and nerve-damaged persons by restoring their complete sensory-motor functionality, diminishing phantom limb pain, and enabling them to feel the artificial limb as part of their own body. The company aims to provide a life-changing solution to the almost 5 million amputees and nerve-injured persons in the USA and Europe who currently lack effective ways for function restoration. SensArs proposes a novel tech that will generate a new market and become the essential feature of the next-generation of prosthesis. The absence of feedback and the perception of prosthesis as a foreign body are the primary reasons for refusal to use prosthesis, and SensArs aims to solve this problem by providing adequate sensory feedback.
