The Kyiv Smart City project is a joint initiative involving citizens, businesses, knowledge institutions, and public authorities with the goal of transforming urban centers in Ukraine. The project is governed by three principles: open data, smart digital services, and transparent management. Kyiv Smart City aims to make the city more technologically advanced, inclusive, and comfortable for everyone. The process of digitization involves implementing digital and communication services, developing energy efficiency standards, and creating an open model for community-local authority relations. By exchanging knowledge with other cities, Kyiv Smart City is fostering innovation in both technology and social development. The project marks a new stage of city evolution, with services such as transport maps, QR-based ticketing, and parking information available via smartphone without bureaucratic barriers or long waiting times.
