After graduating the Conservatory, in 1934, he was sent to work in the theatrical field ni RASSM, first in the capital Balta, then in Tiraspol, where he was appointed as musical director-scenographer of thebranch of the Ukrainian Theater in Tiraspol. Here he demonstrates his remarkable organizational skills and in just a few years he creates in Tiraspol - the National Musical-Dramatic Theater, the House of Children's Artistic Education (later called: T' he Palace of Pioneers and Students), the Children's Symphony Orchestra, and in 1937 - the first School of Music for Children in the re- public, director of which he was until 1940.Creator of the first music school for children and of the Musical-Dramatic Theater of the Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic of Moldova (1937), of the Union of Composers of Moldova (1940, 1944), of the State Conservatory in Chisināu (nowthe National Conservatory of the Republic of Moldova, 1940, 1944), of the S. Neaga College of Music (1945) and the E. Coca School ofMusic for Ten-Year-Old Childrenin Chisināu, ofthe State Theater of Opera and Ballet (currently the National Theater of Opera and Ballet of the Republic ofMoldova, 1955).Author of the first Moldovan work Grozovan (1956). First Emeritus Artist of theMSSR (1942), People's Artist of the Moldovan SSR (1961) Member ofthe Union of Composers of theUSSR.
