Garry Faif People
His parentshad fled from Moldova, during his childhood the family returned to Tiraspol, where Faif received his secondary education and graduated from the art stu- dio under the direction of Alexander Foinitsky. He entered the Moscow Architectural Institute, where he graduated in 1962. Together with Leonid Fishbein he was the au- thor of themonument to the soldiers and airmen in Tiraspol and the Glory Memorial on the banks of the Dniester (1972). In 1973 he emigrated to France, where he received a second architectural education. He studied with renowned architects: Ricardo Bofilland Paul Shemetova. Opening hisown architecture office, he has built more than thir-ty council houses in Paris, France, and the surrounding area, noise barriers along theroads, participated in art exhibitionsaround the world, from Japan to America. Hiscreative credo is a synthesis of various directions: from constructivism and suprema-tism to kineticism andstructuralism. He built more than thirty municipal buildings inParis, France, and the surrounding areas, and participated in art exhibitions aroundthe world, from Japan to America. His first verified exhibition in Czech Republic wasObject - Metamorphoses in Time at Czech Museum of Fine Arts in Prague in 2001, and the most recent exhibition was Object. Metamorphoses in Time at MoravianGallery in Brno in 2002. Garry Faif is exclusively exhibited in Czech Republic. Garry Faif has been exhibited with Jiri Hilmar and Tomás Ruller.
