Baruch Kamin ^People

Baruch Kamin (Kaminschi) was parachuted in Romania together with Dov Berger (Dov Harari) on July 29th, 1944, landing next to Bucuresti. Both were speaking the Romanian language at an advanced level. Both were took to Yitzak Artzi at the headquarter of Illegal Zionist Executive, where they met the president Avram Leiba Zissu and Jean Cohen (responsible of the Department for Policy and Intelligence of Zionist Executive). The two parachutists, together with other Jewish agents, who were not captured, organized the Zionist movement of youth, self-defense and informationgathering in the benefit of allied forces.They also organized the legal and illegal emigration of Jewish people, 60.000 Jewish people were taken out of Romania by parachuted Palestinian agents. The Germans fell in the trap set by the secrete services of Allies, transferring 25 divisions in Italy and 25 divisions in Balkans (from 120 divisions that were dislocated in the Western Europe, at the Atlantic Ocean). The operation of misinformation had the code Joel and was so well planned and realized, that Adolf Hitler, during the landing of the allied troops in Normandy, hesitated to send in the fight the reserve divisions, convinced that the landing was an Anglo-American trick. Subsequently, Camin was sent as emissary in Czechoslovakia and Austria (1948-1949) and, later, in the United States of America (1964-1965).
