Sergei Lunkevich People
He studied music at the G. Musicescu Conservatory in Chisināu (1952 - 1957) with Iosif Dailis (violin) and Boris Miliutin (conducted orchestra, 1958). In the years 1955-1956 - violinist in the Symphony Orchestra of the Chisināu Philharmonic, first violinist in the Fluieras Folk Music Orchestra of the Chisināu Philharmonic (1957)and director (since 1958). International art tours. He was the youngest distinguished artist with the title of Emeritus Artist of the Republic ofMoldova (at only 25 years old). In 1967, he made his debut as Toma Alistar in the film Läutarii, directed by Emil Loteanu. His greatest passions were collectingfolklore and performing Moldovan folk music. His talent was full, he composed songs and music, including for movies, he made arrangements for orchestra. His concerts were true feasts of the soul, and S. Lunchevici is rightly called the last fiddler.For almost 4decades (1958-1995), Sergei Lunchevici was the first director and artistic director of the folk music orchestra Flueras. (1976), Order of the Republic (1993).
