Alan Aspuru-Guzik Leaders

Professor Alán Aspuru-Guzik holds positions in both the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. Additionally, he serves as the Canada 150 Research Chair in Theoretical Chemistry and holds the Canada CIFAR AI Chair at the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence. As a CIFAR Lebovic Fellow in the Biologically Inspired Solar Energy program, he contributes to cutting-edge research in this field. Furthermore, he is the director of the Acceleration Consortium, a strategic initiative based at the University of Toronto that fosters collaboration between researchers from industry, government, and academia, focusing on pre-competitive research related to the lab of the future. In addition to his academic roles, Professor Aspuru-Guzik is actively involved in the industry. He is a co-founder of Kebotix, Inc., and Zapata Computing, Inc., showcasing his commitment to translating scientific innovations into practical applications. Moreover, he holds a Google Industrial Research Chair in Quantum Computing, emphasizing his expertise in the intersection of quantum computing and theoretical chemistry.
