The Pasqual Maragall Foundation for research into Alzheimer’s disease started up in April 2008 as a result of the public promise of Pasqual Maragall, former Mayor of Barcelona and President of the Government of Catalonia, when he was diagnosed as having the disease. At Pasqual Maragall Foundation, they dream of a future without Alzheimer’s disease in which getting old is just another stage of life to be enjoyed to the fullest.
