The Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome was established in 1993 with the cultural aim of restoring to the biomedical sciences the value of human life and the person as their central focus. Clinical research areas of the Haematology, Transfusion Medicine and Cell Therapy Unit are: Autologous transplant procedures in patients with hematologic and autoimmune diseases; National and international cooperation protocols for the treatment of leukemia, lymphomas and myelomas; Treatment of post-hematopoietic stem cell transplantation hemorrhagic cystitis; Rare lymphoproliferative disorders; Polycythemia Vera; Essential thrombocythemia; Thrombosis (congenital and acquired thrombophilia); Deficiency, hemolytic and microangiopathic anemia.
