Hemolytics is a MedTech company that has developed a chemical amplification method for ultrasensitive detection of malaria using inexpensive reagents. Their diagnostic test kit has a sensitivity 10-fold superior to that of the most sophisticated currently available malaria rapid diagnostic tests (MRDT). The device is based on the amplification of a pan-malarial biomarker and stable chemicals, enabling patients to detect malaria at very early stages.
